如何在国内获取加拿大高中文凭历史篇

 ILC的前身


1926年,加拿大安大略省教育部制定了“远程函授课程”计划,为居住在安大略省北部偏远地区的儿童提供基础教育。第一年入学:75名学生。安大略省政府还于同年推出了“铁路校车计划”,将教师和教室带轮带到沿铁路线的农村社区。从最初是为儿童设计的课堂,铁路教室很快就扩展到包括面向新来成年人的英语教学。



The former program of ILC 


In 1926, The Ontario Educational Communications Authority establishes the Correspondence Courses program to provide elementary education for children living in isolated areas of northern Ontario. First-year enrollment: 75 students. The Ontario government also rolls out the Railway School Car Program the same year, bringing teachers and classrooms on wheels to rural communities along the railway lines. Initially designed for children, the railway classrooms quickly expand to include English instruction for newcomer adults.

ILC的设立

The establishment of ILC


In 1950s, the Correspondence Courses program expands to offer a complete high-school curriculum, in what will later become known as the Independent Learning Centre (ILC). Adults, attracted by the flexible nature of the program, enroll in growing numbers, eventually forming the largest client group of ILC. The Railway School Car Program, meanwhile, gradually becomes obsolete as Ontario’s economy and education structure evolves.

1984年,负责函授课程计划的安大略省教育部教育技术发展部函授教育科正式更名为独立学习中心(ILC)。在整个80年代,ILC在两个不同的位置设有办事处,然后在90年代初合并为多伦多的一个集中办事处。


The development of ILC


In 1984, the Correspondence Education section of the Educational Technology Development Division, Ministry of Education which ran the Correspondence Courses program was officially renamed Independent Learning Centre (ILC).  Throughout the ‘80’s ILC had offices in two separate locations before merging into one centralized office in Toronto in the early 90’s.

在运营90多年后,加拿大安大略省教育部正式迈步进入中国,业务不断拓展,并于2019年选择CanChina-Union Education作为其中国区合作伙伴。

ILC-CanChina-Union offers students the opportunity to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) that is equivalent to an OSSD earned through a Canadian publicly funded secondary day school or an inspected private secondary school.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma
